Surrogacy

Surrogacy offers a comprehensive solution for individuals or couples who desire to have a child but face challenges with traditional pregnancy.

Surrogacy is a fertility treatment, supported by a legal agreement, whereby a woman (surrogate or Gestational carrier) agrees to deliver/ labor for another person or couple, who will become the legal parent(s) of the child after birth. As part of the Surrogacy agreement, the surrogate waives all her parental rights and agrees to give the baby to the Intended Parents immediately upon delivery.

There exist 2 types of Surrogacies: Gestational and Traditional

In gestational surrogacy, the baby has no biological link to the surrogate. An embryo is created using the sperm from the intended father (or donor) and the egg from the biological mother (or donor), then implanted into the surrogate’s uterus.

In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate’s egg is fertilized by the intended father’s sperm. The surrogate carries the baby to term, and the baby is biologically linked to the surrogate.

The whole process goes the same as a normal IVF or donation, depending on the type of procedure.

Types of programs offered

Eggs and sperm of the intended parents.

Donated eggs fertilized with sperm from the intended father.

Embryos created from donor sperm and eggs of the intended mother.

Embryos created using donor eggs and donor sperm.

Becoming a parent via surrogacy is an emotional journey. We offer our guidance and support having You and your baby in mind. On your first meeting with us, you will meet an experienced counselor who will guide you throughout the entire process—the same person will be with you, from finding the perfect egg or sperm donor and surrogate, all the way through fertilization and birth.

From start to finish, the process of becoming a parent via surrogacy typically takes about 12-18 months, and sometimes longer, depending on the success of fertilization procedures.

We can promise you will be included, informed and prepared, every step of the way.

Surrogacy Steps

Step One: Consultation

We prioritize your convenience and comfort from the start. Our initial meeting can be held wherever you feel most at ease. This first meeting is designed to inform you about the surrogacy process, projected costs, available resources, and to ensure that we are the right fit for you. We value transparency and simplicity. During this meeting, we’ll also get to know you and your expectations.

Step Two: Getting Started

Once you feel ready to begin your journey, we will prepare a detailed program for all the necessary phases of the process.

Step Three: Identifying Donor & Surrogate

If you haven’t chosen a donor or surrogate yet, we’ll help you find suitable matches. Finding a qualified and reliable surrogate whose needs align with yours can be challenging. We offer a vast network of surrogates, all meeting strict criteria to ensure the well-being of both parties. Your personal guide will ask about the relationship you want with the surrogate and your involvement in medical procedures. Based on your answers, we’ll present profiles of suitable surrogates.

Step Four: Screening

This phase involves the medical screenings of the donor and surrogate to ensure they are fit for their roles. The surrogate will also undergo a background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.

Step Five: Legal

The legal agreement is the contract between the surrogate and the intended parent(s) that lays out each party’s rights and responsibilities. The surrogacy agreement outlines the surrogate’s responsibilities and also ensures that she relinquishes her claim to parental rights over the child. The surrogacy agreement will also detail the intended parents’ responsibilities, outline their financial obligations and carefully list all the expenses they must cover throughout the surrogacy.

Step Six: Medical Cycle

With legal agreements in place, the surrogate and egg donor or intended mother begin medical preparations for egg retrieval and IVF. The process takes about a month. Once viable embryos are created, a pregnancy attempt is made.

Step Seven: Pregnancy

The journey concludes with a pregnancy test 10 to 12 days after embryo transfer. An ultrasound at 8 to 10 weeks confirms the baby’s heartbeat. The surrogate will then be under our care for the remainder of the pregnancy. In the second trimester, we’ll help you plan for the delivery.

Step Eight: Childbirth and registration

By the middle of the 3rd trimester the surrogate’s obstetrician will predict an official date for the delivery. The parent(s) will be notified and will travel to the hospital to welcome their son or daughter.

Once born, the baby’s birth certificate is issued with the name of the Intended Parents. For parents delivering overseas, the baby will need to apply for citizenship and a passport before returning home. The passport process can take a few weeks to a few months depending on the nationality of the parents and where the baby is born.

We will provide you with a customized care-management team in order to offer you a seamless and stress-free surrogacy process.
